Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's lacrosse team has been selected to host the second and third rounds of the NCAA tournament, announced by the league on Sunday night.
Lynchburg is set to be the host site for three teams through the second and third rounds of the tournament: Grove City/Ohio Wesleyan, York (Pa.), and Colorado College. The Hornets will match up against the winner of the Grove City vs. Ohio Wesleyan game, which is set to be played on Wednesday, May 6 at 4 p.m.
The Hornets are set to play their first NCAA postseason contest in a second round bout on Saturday, May 9 at noon, then Lynchburg will host the neutral game of York (Pa.) vs. Colorado College at 3 p.m. The winners of each game on Saturday will square off in the third round on Sunday, May 10 at 3 p.m.
The men's lacrosse team sits at eighth in the NPI rankings and owns an overall record of 16-3. They will host an portion of the NCAA tournament for the second time in the last three years, most recently having hosted in 2024.
