In 2025, the team posted a 17-5 overall record, which included a dominant 5-1 victory over Shenandoah to clinch the program’s 23rd ODAC title. Lynchburg earned three ranked victories during the regular season and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16, toppling Rowan 3-2 in the team’s NCAA Second Round matchup. The Hornets secured five all-region nominees, while Khanyisile Mzizi and Anna Dorrestijn were named to the NFHCA All-American teams. In addition, the Hornets snatched eight all-conference honors, Dorrestijn earned ODAC Offensive Player of the Year and Coach Releford was named the ODAC Coach of the Year.
