Leading up to the Hall of Fame induction and Lynchburg's Homecoming, the University of Lynchburg men's and women's golf teams are hosting a Champions Week of Giving beginning Monday, Oct. 14. Director of men's and women's golf Michael Veverka, head men's golf coach Allen Smith, and the Hornets are grateful for your support of the team!
The Hornets are in the midst of the greatest era of golf at Lynchburg. The men's crew earned the conference title in 2024 for the seventh time in program history and placed 11th overall in the NCAA 2024 Division III Championship. As a squad, the women's golf team placed second in the ODAC tournament last year, and Emily Brubaker claimed a spot in the DIII National Championship. Brubaker was named to the All-America Second-Team last season and was tabbed ODAC Golfer of the Year for the second time. Both programs set scoring average records in 2023. The men tied for second at the conference tournament, and the women placed second for the third year in a row. The men also produced a program-best four all-conference players in 2023.
