Head coach Dawn Simmons and the Hornets are grateful for your support of the team!

Lynchburg stamped its 25th consecutive season with 20 or more wins in 2026, excluding the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign. The team produced three All-ODAC performers and enjoyed a 10-game win streak throughout March. In addition, Sarah Watts placed second in Division III for assists with 145, garnering VaSID Second Team All-State honors for her stellar senior campaign. The Hornets are excited to continue their momentum into the 2027 season.

Coach Simmons surpassed the 700 win mark in 2024 and has the most victories of any softball coach in the history of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Lynchburg has won six ODAC championships in its storied history. The Hornets played in the national champions in 2008 after winning the Fayetteville regional and hosted a super regional in 2019. Over 50 Hornets have been named to all-conference teams in the last 10 seasons, and the Hornets boast eight All-Americans since 2004.
