2015 All-ODAC Third Team
Senior (2016): Started all 18 games in net her senior season...Picked up 10 wins with one complete game shutout...made 105 saves, and held a .766 save percentage, putting her fifth in the conference...Her 1.88 goals allowed average was also good enough for fifth best in the conference and had four games with 10+ saves.
Junior (2015): Hess was solid once again in her second year as a starter in goal for LC… The junior co-captain made 96 saves and earned a .787 saves percentage… Only allowed 26 goals, good enough for a 1.44 goals against average… Helped hold opponents scoreless on five separate occasions… Hess will be expected to be another anchor for the Hornet defense in her final season next year.
Sophomore (2014): After being one of two backup goalies and appearing in just two games during the 2013 season as a freshman, Hess has stepped into the starting role as a sophomore, starting all 22 games. She helped the Hornets completely rebuild their defense after losing three senior defenders and a senior goalie. Hess had a 15-7 record and recorded four shut-out victories. During her 1522 minutes in goal, she allowed 36 goals for a 1.66 Goals Against Average. Beka also had 113 saves, for a .758 save percentage. She will look to hold her role as the starting keeper in her junior campaign.
Freshman (2013): Saw action two times in goal for the Hornets.
Before LC: Won two letters and started three years for the Falcons of Frank W. Cox…Received First-Team All-Tidewater, Beach District and Regional District honors in 2012…Helped her team win the state championship and regional championship in 2009 and the Beach District in 2011 and 2012…Academic honors include the German Honors Society and the Falcon Medallion.
