Senior (2014): Merritt had a breakout seniorseason after her position change from midfield to center back. Shecreated a strong foundation for the Hornet brand new defensiveunit. Bianca's ability to intercept balls coming into the circle,her calm demeanor, and her capability to carry the ball end line toend line was an asset to the Hornets' success. Merritt also playeda key role in many of Lynchburg’s overtime games.

Junior (2013): Played in 19 games this seasonfor the Hornets…provided speed and agility to both thedefense and midfield positions in her junior season.

Sophomore (2012): Earned more playing time inher second season…played in 22 games, lining up in themidfield and on the defensive end…quick player who routinelystops opposing attacks…coaches will look for Merritt to makeanother important leap after starting the last four games of theyear.

Freshman (2011): Appeared in nine games for theHornets.

Before LC: Three-year starter at Pocomoke HighSchool…Four-time State Champions in Maryland(2007-10)…earned seven letters and was a Bayside SouthHonorable Mention…Also earned Bayside South First-Teamhonors, as well as Bayside South second-teamdistinction…also competed in softball for four years and wasa member of cheerleading for one year.

Personal: Daughter of Gene and BonnieMerritt...Has one brother and one sister.
