Emma Westbrook joined the Lynchburg field hockey staff in August 2026 as a graduate assistant following a decorated four-year career at Newberry.
Throughout her 75 games with the Wolves, Westbrook recorded program records in career points (131), career goals (60), single-season goals (23) and goals in a game (4). Westbrook earned NFHCA DII First Team All-American laurels in 2025 and was named the 2025-26 Newberry Female Athlete of the Year. She concluded her career as a three-time All-SAC First Team selection, five-time SAC Offensive Player of the Week and three-time NFHCA DII National Player of the Week.
In addition, Westbrook served as a team captain and president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. During her senior season, she began working as a coaching intern, which entailed supporting skill development sessions and contributing to player evaluations.
At home, the Dover, Del. native began coaching youth field hockey for the Delaware Shores Field Hockey team in 2020. Westbrook arrived in Lyhnchburg with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, including a minor in coaching.
