Noah den Hartog

Noah den Hartog joined the Lynchburg field hockey staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2020 and has since helped guide the Hornets to the 2020-21 Old Dominion Athletic Conference title and a 2021 NCAA Division III tournament berth.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, den Hartog grew up playing field hockey before his family moved to the United States in 2013. He followed his love for the sport into the coaching realm, immersing himself in youth field hockey development around the state of North Carolina. He has coached with USA Field Hockey all around North Carolina and was head coach of the U14 Carolina All-Stars out of Chapel Hill, leading that program to its first-ever national qualification in 2016. He has also coached camps at various universities around the southeast and midwest.

den Hartog graduated from Appalachian State University, where he aided the Mountaineers varsity women's program as a practice player, in 2020 with a degree in exercise science with a strength & conditioning concentration. He is enrolled in Lynchburg's master's of school counseling program.
