Senior (2015): Started all 19 games at defense for her senior campaign… recorded three defensive saves throughout the year, two of which came at crucial moments in a 3-2 overtime victory at Alvernia… Got involved various times offensively by breaking downfield after intercepting passes in the back, including once where she assisted a teammate’s goal against York
Junior (2014): Krause earned a starting role on the Hornet defensive line this year, starting all 22 games. Kayla has an eye for intercepting passes and creating fast breakaways. Krause registered two defensive saves this year, both in losses to Salisbury and Dickinson. Krause has made an impact on both defensive and offensive corners this year and has also had the second most assists, with six, on this Hornet team.
Sophomore (2013): Played in 20 games and started in nine on the year as a sophomore defender… played a key role on the defensive side of the ball and contributed to a defense that only allowed 25 goals on the year… also made an impact offensively, scoring two goals, including a goal in the 2-0 win over Randolph-Macon ODAC Championship.
Freshman (2012): Played in 11 games in her first season on Lakeside Drive…quick defender who stops opponents often…looking to play more minutes as a sophomore.
Before LC: Started for three years at Sussex Technical High School…helped the Ravens win the 2009 and 2010 state titles…named to the second team all-conference as a sophomore and first-team all-conference as a junior and a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Tom an Jill Krause…has one brother and two sisters…played lacrosse in high school.
