Senior (2012): Finished off a stellar career in 2012…scored 22 goals and assisted six others, for a team-high 50 points…very strong player, who continuously put pressure on opposing offenses…led the league in shots taken with 215…once again, took home a series of accolades…had the biggest goal of her career in the NCAA win over Catholic University, which was the overtime-winner…had eight game-winning goals on the year…another player who will be sorely missed after contributing for all four years.
Junior (2011): Played and started in all 21 games for LC… led the team in goals with 31 and in points with 73… she scored two game-winning goals for the Hornets including one in their win vs. the then second-ranked Franklin and Marshall team… she scored four goals in a game on two occasions, one against Roanoke on September 29 and the other against Virginia Wesleyan on October 4… received first-team All-ODAC honors and led the ODAC in points and goals… was ODAC player of the week five times.
Sophomore (2010): Played and started in all 21 games... scored 16 goals with 10 assists giving her 42 points for the year… was number one in shots with 134 and number one in shots per game averaging 6.38 in the ODAC… number two in the ODAC in points with 42 and number three in points per game averaging an even two points… also number three in goals in the ODAC with 16 and number five in goals per game with .76… tied for number one in the ODAC in assists and assists per game with 10 and .48… also had three game-winning goals for the Hornets putting her in a tie for fourth place in the ODAC.
Freshman (2009): Stepped in as a freshman and established herself as the top reserve offensively for the Hornets . . . great knack for getting her stick on the ball around the cage . . . has good stick ability in the open field . . . good at getting out on the break and eluding defenders . . . played in every games this season, all 23 as a reserve . . . scored her first collegiate goal against Denison on Sep. 6 . . . netted her first multi-goal contest against Virginia Wesleyan College on Oct. 8 . . . struck twice, including the game winner, against Eastern Mennonite in a 3-0 defeat of the Lady Royals . . . had a three-game goal scoring streak early in the season.
Before LC: Three-year letter winner and starter as a member of the Clippers field hockey squad . . . was a first-team All-Bay Rivers District and All-Region performer, along with being named team MVP and team captain . . . second-team all-district as a junior . . .scored 50 goals and posted 36 assists over her four years at Grafton . . . led her team to state tournament appearences in 2007 and 2008 . . . was also a four-year letter winner in soccer . . . Honor Roll member all four years at Grafton, while earning Magna Cum Laude on the National Lation Exam as a sophomore . . . National Honor Society as a junior and senior.
Personal: Daughter of Doug and Becky Leonard . . . has one brother and one sister.
