Former Randolph College men's basketball star Brian Smith came across town to join Lynchburg's coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2020.

Smith is one of the most prolific scorers in WildCats history, finishing his career as the program's all-time leader in 3-point field goals and becoming the sixth player in Randolph men's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points. He led Randolph in minutes, points, assists, and steals as a senior.

The Prince William County native graduated from Randolph in 2020 with a degree in biology. He is enrolled in Lynchburg's master's of business administration program.
