Christina Herbert joined Lynchburg's men's and women's golf coaching staff as a graduate assitant during the summer of 2018 and has been instrumental in both the resurgence of the Hornets' men's program and the early success of the women's team.

Herbert was a four-time NCAA Division III All-American in women's golf and won the individual national championship as a junior in 2017. The Williamsburg native and Jamestown High School product immediately began recruiting for the university's inaugural women's season, set for 2019-20. She also assists with recruiting and instruction for the Lynchburg men's team.

A 2018 graduate of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's own Bridgewater College, Herbert earned her degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience, graduating summa cum laude, and was a two-time first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large selection, the most difficult honor to earn in the dual-emphasis awards program. She was a three-time first-team All-American as chosen by the Women's Golf Coaches Association and honorable mention as a freshman. After winning the 2017 national championship, Herbert won both the WGCA and Honda national player of the year awards. She led all of Division III in scoring average (74.04) that season and was in the top ten nationally all four collegiate seasons.

Herbert won three ODAC individual championships and was a four-time all-conference honoree.

She finished a master's in school counseling at Lynchburg in 2021.
