Tate Gallagher joined the men's and women's tennis programs ahead of the 2022-23 season and steps into an assistant coaching role. 

Gallagher graduated from Greensboro College in 1997 with a physical education degree. He played tennis for the Pride and holds the program record for most singles wins in a career with 46. 

The Lynchburg native brings a wealth of knowledge to campus after serving as the tennis professional at the Country Club of Virginia, Kiwaoh Island Resort, Boonsboro Country Club, and Oakwood Country Club. Gallagher joins Lynchburg after spending five seasons as an assistant coach across town at Randolph College. 

While he is not playing tennis, Gallagher enjoys spending time with his 10-year-old daughter Alli, water skiing, tubing, snow skiing, hanging by the pool, and listening to music with friends!
