Biography

2013 ODAC/Stellar One Sportsmanship Team

Senior (2016): Was the Hornets No. 1 singles player in 11 matches and the No. 1 doubles player in all but two matches… on April 25 Johnson won his singles match in dramatic fashion vs. Hampden-Sydney College push the Hornets into the ODAC Tournament.

Junior (2015): Played all but one of his matches in 2015 at the No. 1 position… Competed at No. 1 doubles in 9-of-11 matches on the year… Picked up a doubles victory at Emory & Henry College on March 29.

Sophomore (2014): Johnson competed at #2 and #3 singles on the year… he also played at all three doubles positions during the season.

Freshman (2013): Johnson won two matches at #3 singles on the season…He defeated his opponent from Roanoke College in the first home ODAC match of the year, then defeated the #3 from Randolph College while battling through an injury…Competed at #1 doubles the majority of his freshman campaign, taking the court with four different teammates over the course of the year.

Before LC: Played three years, starting two for Knights of Thomas Dale High School…All-District Team selection senior year…District Doubles Champion senior year…Combined 30-2 senior season (14-2 in singles, 16-0 in doubles)…Team posted a combined record of 46-2 in his time for the Knights…Also ran cross country and track in high school.
