University of Lynchburg

Kaleigh Hackett joined the Lynchburg softball coaching staff in the fall of 2025, bringing valuable experience and knowledge of the game to help develop players both on and off the field. An Appomattox, Va., native, Hackett earned All-Region honors and secured her place in the Hall of Fame before continuing her playing career with the Lynchburg softball program.

Hackett played five seasons under head coach Dawn Simmons before joining her coaching staff. Throughout her career, she provided consistent defense at multiple positions while serving as an important piece of the Hornets' lineup. She finished her career with a .296 batting average.

Hackett enters her second season on the Lynchburg coaching staff and continues to grow in her role as an assistant coach under Simmons.
