2013 All-ODAC Third Team

Senior (2014-15): She started 16 of the Hornet’s 28 games as a senior…proved to be a vital part of the Lynchburg rotation, taking on the role of first post off the bench when not in the starting five…scored 14 points in a big conference road contest against Bridgewater College on January 10, missing just one shot during the game…had a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Albright College on December 19…Hornets went 4-1 in games she scored over 10 points…contributed three blocks at Randolph College on February 10.

Junior (2013-14): Returned from an early injury to record another solid season in the post... Her numbers spiked in conference action, averaging 9.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, shooting 50 percent… Scored in double figures seven times this year, six in ODAC play… Scored 19 points and snared nine rebounds… Ranked 16th in the conference in rebounding, 11th in field-goal shooting percentage and 13th in free-throw shooting percentage.

Sophomore (2012-13): Penley had an amazing rookie season for the Hornets, being named to the All-ODAC Third Team… Scored a career-high 22 points against Washington and Lee on February 7… Had two double-doubles on the year… Led the team in rebounding at 7.0 per game.

2011-12 (Pfeiffer): Played in six games, averaging 2.7 points per game as a freshman at Division II Pfeiffer University.

Before LC: Four-year letter winner and two-year starter for Mount Tabor High School… Helped the Spartans win four straight conference titles.

Personal: Daughter of Randy and Shellie Penley… Has one sister, Jennifer, who played basketball at the U.S. Naval Academy for four years… Cousin of Major League Baseball player Scot Shields… Was a member of the National Honors Society and Crosby Scholars in high school… Member of the Westover Honors Program at LC... Chemistry minor.
