Hornets Outscore Emory & Henry 7-1

            LYNCHBURG, VA - Three players netted two goals each and Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) assisted on four tallies as the Lynchburg College women's soccer defeated Emory & Henry College 7-1 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Saturday.

            Kwiatkowski assisted on the first four goals of the game, two from Shelley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) and Brittany Klippstein (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) in the first 17:08 of the contest. Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) also netted two goals and Jess Mader (Red Bank, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) tallied a goal and an assist.

            Kellie Flaherty scored the Wasps goal at 77:55 on a penalty kick. The Hornets out-shot E&H 46-3 and held an 18-3 edge in corner kicks.

            Lynchburg (6-2/3-0 ODAC) travels to Meredith University Wednesday for a non-conference game at 5 p.m.
