Lynchburg Field Hockey unleashes offense on Denison University 

            LYNCHBURG, VA - The Hornets turned up their offense on Sunday as No. 13 Lynchburg Field Hockey put up three goals to beat Denison University by a score of 3-0 on Shellenberger Field.

With a constant peppering of shots on sophomore Denison goaltender Brittany Benson, Lynchburg (2-1) scored the deciding goal just 15 minutes into the match by freshman Haili Hartman (Centreville, VA/ Centreville). Benson would finish the game with 17 saves.

The Hornets second goal was scored by sophomore Shelly Milks (Gloucester, VA/ Gloucester) who scored off a corner to put Lynchburg up by two.  Hartman added the final insurance goal as she charged the net to score her second of the game.

Hornet goalie Tiffany Frye (Williamsburg, VA/ Broton) finished the game with just one save as her defense limited Denison to four shots on goal. The Hornets at the end of the day had 42 shots and 13 penalty corners.

 Lynchburg will head to Delaware to take on Wesley College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
