Box Score Winchester, Va. -- The Lynchburg College field hockey team scored two late goals, the go-ahead in the 49th minute off the stick of Jackie Lerro (Royersford, Pa.) to conquer defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference Shenandoah University, 3-1, on the road Sunday afternoon.
Nikki Simpao (Stafford, Va.) and Isabella Eldridge (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) also scored for Lynchburg.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Simpao put LC on the board first with a penalty stroke in the 13th minute, but Shenandoah tied the game, 1-1, before halftime.
- Lerro caged her ODAC-leading 18th goal of the season in the 49th minute, and it proved the difference, assisted by Kayla Copeman (Williamsburg, Va.).
- Copeman assisted the insurance goal, which Eldridge scored for her 10th of the season.
- Lynchburg out-shot Shenandoah 24-5 in the game.
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg will hit the road again on Thursday, Oct. 19 for a preview of what next season will be an ODAC matchup with Ferrum College, which will enter the conference in the 2018-19 school year.
