Ferrum, Va. -- Jackie Lerro scored twice to lead University of Lynchburg's field hockey team to a 5-0 win over Ferrum on the road Friday.

Emily Yanes, Emma Strouse, and Taylor Jones also scored for the Hornets, while the Lynchburg defense held FC without a shot in the game.

The victory extends Lynchburg's Old Dominion Athletic Conference winning streak to 27 games, a streak dating back to the 2017 season.

The Hornets (5-0, 5-0 ODAC) will put that mark to the test again Tuesday with a trip to Virginia Wesleyan for a 5 p.m. contest.
