Box Score Winchester, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's lacrosse team gained head coach Steve Koudelka his 300th career victory Wednesday night with the Hornets' 17-7 Old Dominion Athletic Conference win at Shenandoah.
Koudelka became the 22nd men's lacrosse coach in NCAA history to reach the milestone and just the eighth to do so in Division III. His teams are 300-132 in his 25 seasons at the helm of the Hornets.
Wednesday's win was a foregone conclusion from the early going for the fifth-ranked Lynchburg squad. The Hornets scored the first 10 goals of the game.
Graduate student Trammel Robinson scored a team-high four goals for the Hornets, all in the first half, and sophomore Dylan Wolfe added a hat trick. Juniors Riley Schmidt, Ryan Kenney, and Brett Rogers each added a pair of goals.
The Hornets dominated the face-off Wednesday, winning 20 of 27 tilts at the X. Freshman Michael Kraus earned a career-best nine victories there on just 11 attempts, while graduate student Quintin Ricci went 6-for-9 with a team-high four ground balls. Junior Kyle Lewis dished out three assists.
Lynchburg (11-2, 6-1 ODAC) will hit the road again Saturday in search of a sixth-consecutive victory, this time heading to Randolph-Macon for a 1 p.m. first whistle.
