Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Despite nine points apiece from Olivia Harris and Maddie Nimmo, University of Lynchburg's women's basketball team fell Saturday, 80-48, to Shenandoah in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference clash.
All nine of Harris' points came on 3-point baskets, while Nimmo was 3-for-5 inside the arc and added four rebounds. Macey Mullins chipped in eight points off the bench for the Hornets, while Kayla Sledge also subbed in to the tune of six points and a team-best eight rebounds.
Shenandoah rushed out to a 17-8 lead after the first period and never looked back, holding its host to just 15-for-58 shooting from the field. SU got a game-high 23 points and six assists out of point guard Madisen Kimble.
Lynchburg (1-7, 0-3 ODAC) will hit the hardwood again Wednesday with a trip to Hollins. Both teams will be in search of their first conference win of 2022-23.
