Roanoke, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg equestrian team opened up its Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association schedule at Hollins University Saturday.
The Hornets placed seventh out of nine teams with 17 points. Hollins led the way with 39 points.
Alexandria Russell secured Lynchburg's only event victory with a blue ribbon in Limit Flat (Section A).
Lily Dobbs placed second in Introductory Flat, and
Iris Moseley placed third in Section A of Novice Flat.
Lynchburg's next IHSA show takes place on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Virginia Tech.
