Blacksburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team had a strong fourth-place finish today at Virginia Tech.
The Hornets swept the intermediate division with a pair of wins from junior Shannon Huth in intermediate flat and sophomore Margret Stell in intermediate fences.
In Open flat, Stell and senior Lori Ohannessian were 3rd and 4th respectively. Ohanessian was 2nd in the open fences.
Junior Natalie Michaels, Lilly Dobbs, freshman Elle Nutting, and sophomore Alexandria Russell all garnered fifth place ribbons in their respective divisions.
Sophomore Jenna Frazer and Nutting earned sixth place in both sections of limit fences.
The Hornets will be back in action Sunday, February 19 at Washington and Lee before returning home next weekend to host the final regular-season IHSA competition on February 25.
