Rustburg, Va. - The University of Lynchburg National Collegiate Equestrian Association team dominated the flat today to beat Dartmouth College 8-1.
In fences, freshman and fences most outstanding player Caroline Light led the charge with an 87 on Ruffino to take her point. Sophomore Fallyn Belcastro and freshman Abby Zemp also won their points on Max and HD respectively.
Leading 3-1 at the half, the Hornets swept the flat 5-0 with points from sophomores Emma Schweizer, Lucy Metzler and Fallyn Belcastro and juniors Brynley Smith and Kelley McCormick.
Completing the MOP sweep for the Hornets was Belcastro who scored a 78 to best her Dartmouth opponent on Eragon.
The win completes a regular season sweep of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent.
The NCEA team will be back in action next weekend Saturday, March 4 for a meet against NCEA newcomer Berry College.
