Rustburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association regional qualifiers had a stand out day at regional finals. Five hornets will be representing Lynchburg at Zone 4 finals in April. The Hornets hosted the regional at Patrick Henry Services Farm, the home of Lynchburg Equestrian.
Senior Joe Gatti got the day started strong with a win in Introductory.
Freshman Hope Jordan continued her flawless streak capturing the region championship in Novice flat.
Sophomore Alexandria Russel punched her ticket to Zone finals with a win in Limit Over Fences.
Sophomore Margaret Stell paved her way to the regional championship with a win in Intermediate flat. Junior Shannon Huth also had a strong showing, finishing fourth.
Huth also finished third in Intermediate Fences.
Senior Lori Ohanessian continued her success with a second-place finish in Open fences.
Ohanessian, Russel, Stell, Jordan, and Gatti will represent Lynchburg in their respective divisions at Zone Finals on April 1 at Goucher College in Baltimore, Md.
