Rustburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg NCEA team claimed victory over the Berry College Vikings in a raw score tie breaker Saturday afternoon. 

Sophomore Fallyn Belcastro had the high score of the day, earning an 86 over fences on Rain to defeat her opponent by 11 and gain the title of MOP over fences.  

Junior Brynley Smith garnered the other fences point for the Hornets, beating her opponent 81-80. 

Belcastro also won her second-consecutive flat point on Eragon. Fellow sophomore Lucy Metlzer also won her point on Topi. 

The Hornets won in a raw score tiebreaker 579.0 to 574.0 with both teams accumulating two points in each event. 

The Hornets return to action Sunday March 5 with the regular-season finale against Bridgewater College at 11 a.m.
