Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg sophomore forward Bree Spainhour recorded her first-career double-double in a 78-48 victory over Hollins on Wednesday evening.
Spainhour was one of three Hornets in double-figures with 15, Sammi Sever scored 13, and Olivia Harris dropped 12.
Spainhour's 12 rebounds were a career-high, and she had nine at halftime. Sayre Brandstatter also recorded 12 rebounds for the season-high against Salisbury in November.
Lynchburg jumped out to its first double-digit lead late in the first quarter on a 3-pointer from Brooke Cason. She finished with nine points on 3-7 (42.9%) shooting from deep.
Sever capped off the first half with a 3 assisted by Brandstatter as the Hornets led 45-28.
Harris led the charge in the second half with 10, Darcy Ross added five points and three boards, and Taylor Gantt capped off the 30-point win with a free throw.
