Lynchburg Va. -- The University of Lynchburg field hockey team takes on the Washington and Lee Generals on Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m. for a match up on Homecoming weekend. 

In their last meeting, the Hornets (10-2, 3-0) defeated the Generals 2-1. Since 2000 the two teams have met 30 times, and the Hornets have taken 21 of those games. 

On Wednesday's Code Red game against Roanoke College, the Hornets shut out the Maroons 2-0 and gained their 6th straight win. The Hornets stand undefeated in the conference so far, hoping to extend that against the Generals tomorrow.

The Generals come into this game after a lopsided 7-0 win against Sweet Briar this past Wednesday.

Following this weekend the Hornets are back out on the field next Wednesday, October 23, at 4:30 p.m. to take on the Sweet Briar Vixens.
