Danville, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team fell to Averett in the quarterfinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday 5-1.
Levi Vigdorchik and Alex Rintoul won Lynchburg's only point in the match with a victory at the first-doubles flight. Vigdorchik and Rintoul won 8-2 at No. 1, Sebastian Sierra and Dan Hardy fell 4-8 at No. 2, and Patricio Zepeda and Shadi Kallel fell 3-8 at No. 3.
Rintoul's defeat at the fourth-singles flight and Patricio Zepeda's defeat at No. 6 decided the rest of the match as the postseason competition was played to clinch.
Lynchburg won double-digit matches for the second year in a row and made a trip to the ODAC Tournament for the second year in a row. In both seasons, the Hornets were led by Levi Vigdorchik who wrapped up his senior season with 33 singles victories overall.
