Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg field hockey squad is set for its second matchup of the season when it hosts Stockton on Saturday, September 7 at 10 a.m.
The Hornets and the Ospreys will square up for the first time in program history on Saturday morning. Last time out, Lynchburg went toe-to-toe with the DePauw Tigers and secured a 3-0 victory. The Hornets fired off 19 shots, including 14 on goal. Goal scorers for Lynchburg included
Maddie Schuchter,
Danielle Coon and
Olivia van Metre. The field hockey crew owns a 1-0 record on the season and looks to add another to the win column this weekend.
After this weekend, the Hornets will hit the road for the first time this season for a midweek matchup at Mary Washington. The game will take place in Fredericksburg, Va. on Wednesday, Septemeber 11 at 6 p.m.
