Forest, Va. -- After an impressive showing at the Connecticut College Invitational this past weekend, University of Lynchburg men's cross country runner
Alex Paciello earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Runner of the Week award, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Paciello was the top placer for the Hornets in their trip north this weekend, helping his team to a 10th place finish overall. He paved the way with a 24:55 personal-best finish for 46th individually. The sophomore cut 35 seconds from his most recent 25:30 performance at the Paul Short Run.
The Pasadena, Md. native claims his first ODAC weekly award of his collegiate career and second for the Hornets' men's team this season. Earlier this month,
Alex Jordan was named the ODAC Runner of the Week following his performance at the Paul Short Run.
The No. 19 Hornets squad has completed the regular season and will return to action in two weeks at the 2025 ODAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1, hosted by Bridgewater College.
