Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg men's basketball team fell 70-53 at home to Randolph-Macon.
Jamarcus Brown scored a team-high 16 points on an efficient eight-for-11 performance from the floor, which was accompanied by six boards and two blocks. Piercen Young contributed eight points, five rebounds, and three steals.Â
Lynchburg jumped out to an eight-point advantage in the opening stages of the contest. Randolph-Macon struggled to shoot from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, shooting 30% from the field and 16% from three. The Yellow Jackets took a four-point advantage into the intermission.
In the second half, Randolph-Macon came out scorching hot. Jabril Robinson got things started for the Yellow Jackets with back-to-back triples. Robinson's hot hand quickly became contagious, as the rest of the Randolph-Macon team found their rhythm as well. Robinson finished with a game-high 19 points, including five three-pointers. Keishawn Pulley Jr. recorded 16 points on the night, 13 of which came in the second half.
Joe Bachman tallied 11 rebounds for Randolph-Macon as the Yellow Jackets out-rebounded Lynchburg 35-28. The Yellow Jackets also recorded 14 offensive rebounds that led to 15 second-chance points.Â
Lynchburg will travel to Bridgewater for their next contest on Wednesday, Feb. 19.Â
