Bridgewater, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team won 6-1 in their first conference matchup of the season against Bridgewater on Tuesday afternoon.
Lynchburg swept all three doubles courts to win the doubles point Luca Morbioli and Timothee Depaquit fought their way to a 6-4 victory on the top court. Sebastian Soria and Alex Rintoul breadsticked their opponents on court two. Daniel Hardy and Jorge Patricio Zepeda battled their way to a 7-5 victory on the bottom court.
Lynchburg won all but one match in singles play. Morbioli bageled his opponent in both sets at the top flight. At No. 2 singles, Shadi Kallel fell in both sets 0-6, dropping the Hornet's only match of the day. Soria won his match on court three 6-1, 6-4. Sebastian Sierra played at No. 4 singles and won 6-0, 6-2. Rintoul cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court five. Depaquit won his match on the bottom court 6-0, 6-1.Â

Lynchburg (2-0, 1-0 ODAC) will travel to Ashland to face Randolph-Macon on Sunday, Mar. 2 at 1 p.m.
