Ocala, Fla. -- The University of Lynchburg equestrian squad is all set for the 2025 NCEA Single Discipline National Championship at the World Equestrian Center, starting with the semifinal round on Friday, April 18 at 2 p.m.
The three-time national champion Hornets come into this year's national championship event as the number one seed. Lynchburg is set to square off against fourth-seeded Dartmouth to start the tournament, with fences beginning at 2 p.m. and flat starting at 3:30 p.m.
The Hornets are fresh off their second consecutive ODAC Head to Head Championship title, taking down Sweet Briar in raw score (777.5-674.0) to end the month of March. In its two years of existence, Lynchburg has claimed victory in each of the ODAC Head to Head Tournaments and plans to carry that momentum into this weekend's national championship.
The Big Green come into tomorrow's affair after falling to Charleston in the ECAC Single Discipline Championship, 7-3, nearly one month ago. Dartmouth finished the regular season with an overall record of 5-4.
Should Lynchburg prevail against Dartmouth, the Hornets will advance to the championship meet against the winner of Charleston vs. Sweet Briar, which will take place on Saturday, April 19, starting at 9 a.m.
