Lynchburg, Va. -- Following a second consecutive 49-goal season, fifth year midfielder Jake Rust was appointed to the USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team, announced by USA Lacrosse Magazine on Wednesday.

Rust finished his collegiate career at third in program history in goals scored with 187 and fifth in points with 231. He was a leading offensive playmaker for the Hornets this season as he averaged the fifth-most goals per game in the conference with 2.33 per outing. His proficient scoring led an offensive unit that was 12th-best across division III, netting 16.86 goals per affair.

The Windham, N.H. native was also named to the All-ODAC First Team for the third straight season. This is Rust's first nod as a Second Team All-American. In both 2024 and 2023, he was named to the All-American Third Team by the USILA and Inside Lacrosse.

Sophomore midfielder Liam Holman and junior long-stick middie Luke Meadows each earned honorable mentions on the USA Lacrosse All-American list. Holman completed his stellar second year with 60 points, the second best mark on the team. He netted the second-most goals and assists on the team with 36 and 24, respectively. Meadows forced a team-best 28 caused turnovers and was third on the team in ground balls with 53.
