Cleveland, Ohio -- The University of Lynchburg athletic department placed 24th in the final standings of the 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup, announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics on Tuesday afternoon.
For the second straight year, Lynchburg's athletic programs produced significant success to place inside the top-25 of all NCAA Division III athletic departments. Highlighted by three individual national champions in Eddie Coffren V from men's golf as well as Tor Hotung-Davidsen and Chasen Hunt from men's outdoor track & field, the Hornets had five programs reach the NCAA postseason (men's golf, men's and women's track & field, baseball and men's lacrosse). Lynchburg ranked within the top-30 through the fall and winter checkpoints as well.
