Lynchburg, Va. --Â The University of Lynchburg women's basketball team and head coach
Christina Harvey are thrilled to reveal the schedule of games for the 2026-27 season.
Lynchburg begins regular season competition on the road against Mary Baldwin on November 14 at 1:30 p.m. The Hornets will host their home opener versus Mary Washington on November 17 at 6 p.m. before traveling to Ashland, Va., for the Randolph-Macon Tournament, where Lynchburg will take on Emory on November 20 at 8 p.m. and Southwestern (Texas) on November 21 at 1 p.m.
The women's basketball team closes out November with a trip to Southern Virginia on November 28 at 2 p.m. Lynchburg opens December with its first conference competition just down the road against Randolph on December 2 at 6 p.m. before traveling to Shenandoah on December 5 at 2 p.m.
The Hornets return home for three contests to conclude the calendar year, beginning with Warren Wilson on December 13 at 2 p.m. Lynchburg will then welcome Methodist on December 19 at 3 p.m. before wrapping up December against Johnson & Wales on December 30 at 2 p.m.
Lynchburg begins the new year with a pair of home matchups, hosting Guilford on January 6 at 5 p.m. and Washington and Lee on January 9 at 2 p.m. The Hornets then travel to Bridgewater on January 13 at 7 p.m. before returning home to face Eastern Mennonite on January 16 at 2 p.m.
The Hornets continue January with a road contest against Roanoke on January 20 at 5 p.m. before hosting Batten on January 23 at 2 p.m. and Randolph on January 27 at 7 p.m. Lynchburg closes out the month with a trip back to Ashland, Va., to take on Randolph-Macon on January 30 at 2 p.m.
Lynchburg opens February on the road against Averett on February 3 at 7 p.m. before returning home for a pair of contests against Shenandoah on February 6 at 2 p.m. and Hollins on February 10 at 5 p.m. The Hornets then travel to Greensboro, N.C., to face Guilford on February 13 at 2 p.m.
To close out the regular season, Lynchburg will host Roanoke on February 17 at 5 p.m. before traveling to Harrisonburg, Va., to face Eastern Mennonite on February 20 at 2 p.m. The ODAC postseason begins with the quarterfinal round on February 23 at a location to be determined. The semifinals and championship game are scheduled for February 26 and 27, respectively, in Salem, Va.
Coach
Christina Harvey begins her first season at the helm of the Lynchburg women's basketball program. Last season, the Hornets finished above .500 and closed the year with an emphatic 54-39 win over EMU. Lynchburg had one All-ODAC performer in
Audra Petty and received three Academic All-District selections.
