Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg baseball team welcomed Roanoke to Fox Field for a double header on Sunday afternoon and won both games before the ninth inning, taking game one 10-0 in eight frames and game two 18-1 in seven innings.
In game one, the No. 2/2 Hornets (19-3-1, 9-0-1 ODAC)Â broke through against the Maroons (16-7, 4-5) in the third inning.

Brandon Garcia reached on another free pass to load the bases.
Benton Jones drew a walk to force in the first run, and
Jack Pokorak followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0. The Hornets added another run in the fourth when Moshier singled to score
Kyle Flora.
Lynchburg extended the lead in the fifth. Pokorak singled to start the rally, and
Quinn Madden doubled to center, driving in a run.
Sean Pokorak followed with an RBI single, and Flora delivered an RBI triple to stretch the lead to 6-0. Madden and
Joe Munitz added solo home runs in the sixth to push the advantage to 8-0.
The Hornets added insurance in the seventh when Garcia scored following a balk and wild pitch, and Flora doubled home Munitz in the eighth to complete the scoring.
Tyler Kaltreider earned the win with seven shutout innings, allowing three hits and striking out seven.
Davis Watson closed out the final inning as Lynchburg secured the shutout.
In game two, Lynchburg jumped out quickly with five runs in the first inning. Garcia walked and scored on a two-run home run by
Jack Pokorak. Later in the inning,
Gavin Angelillo singled in a run, and
Kyle Flora added a two-run homer to make it 5-0.
Roanoke scored its only run in the second, but Lynchburg answered with three runs. Pokorak drove in a run on a groundout, and
Quinn Madden scored on an error before
Kyle Moshier added an RBI double in the third to make it 9-1.
The Hornets broke the game open in the sixth with nine runs. Pokorak delivered a grand slam, Angelillo doubled in a run, and Garcia added a two-run single as Lynchburg pulled away.
Nick Mattfield earned the win, allowing one run over six innings while striking out five.
Trent Judd worked a scoreless inning in relief as Lynchburg completed the sweep.
Next up, Lynchburg will host Virginia Wesleyan for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, April 1 at 3 p.m.
