Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's volleyball team saw its season come to a close Tuesday night, falling to No. 6 seed Eastern Mennonite in the ODAC quarterfinals at Turner Gym.
The Hornets (14-12, 10-6 ODAC), the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, dropped the match in straight sets, 26-24, 28-26, 25-21.
Mason Kenna led Lynchburg offensively with 12 kills, while Joshua Davis added nine and Bryce Jackson contributed five. Will Radi dished out 31 assists to guide the Hornets' attack.
Despite the result, Lynchburg showed fight throughout the match, playing in tightly contested sets that featured 37 total ties and 12 lead changes.
The Hornets conclude the season with a 14-12 overall record and a 10-6 mark in ODAC play, improving by five wins overall and eight conference victories from a season ago.
The Hornets return to action next week on Saturday, Jan. 31, in Bluefield, Va. for another doubleheader against Bluefield and Rio Grande.Â
