Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg baseball team had nine of its student-athletes selected to All-Region teams by the ABCA and by d3baseball.com, headlined by
Jack Pokorak's ABCA Region VI Position Player of the Year award,
Logan Tapman's ABCA Region VI Pitcher of the Year award, and head coach
Travis Beazley's d3baseball.com Region VI Coach of the Year award.
The Hornets swept the ABCA Region VI major awards and had six players named to the ABCA All-Region VI First Team:
Sean Pokorak,
Jack Pokorak,
Benton Jones,
Quinn Madden,
Logan Tapman, and
Tyler Kaltreider.
Nick Mattfield earned a spot on the ABCA All-Region Second Team, while
Kyle Flora landed on the ABCA All-Region Third Team.
Coach Beazley claims his second consecutive d3baseball.com Region VI Coach of the Year award after earning the honor last season. Lynchburg had eight performers named to the d3baseball.com All-Region teams, including five First Teamers.
