Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's soccer team and head coach
Dr. Todd Olsen are thrilled to reveal the schedule of matches for the 2026 season.
To kick off the new season, the Hornets will hit the road for two scrimmages, the first of which will be at Greensboro on August 25 at 7 p.m., and the second being a neutral exhibition against Christopher Newport on August 28 at 6 p.m. in Richmond, Va. at Striker Park.
The Hornets will be on the road for the first five regular season matches of the year. The first two will be held at a neutral site in Salem, Va. against Hope on September 4 at 4 p.m. and against Maryville (TN) on September 5 at 3 p.m. The next two will be on the eastern shore, first at Salisbury on September 12 at 1 p.m., then against St. Mary's (MD) on Salisbury's campus at 3 p.m. on September 13. The final contest of the five-game road stretch will be at Meredith in Raleigh, N.C. on September 16 at 5 p.m.
Lynchburg's home opener is set for September 19 at 5 p.m. against Marymount. Then, the Hornets begin conference play at Shenandoah on September 23 at 7 p.m.
The women's soccer team will host its senior day against Hollins on September 26 a 3 p.m., then square off against Emory at a neutral site in Charlotte, N.C. on September 27 at 1 p.m. Lynchburg will host Randolph-Macon on September 30 at 6 p.m. for the squad's Code Red game. After an away outing at Washington and Lee on October 3 at noon, the Hornets return home for a competition against Averett on October 7 at 4 p.m.
The final nonconference matchup of the season will be at Mary Washington on October 10 at 1 p.m. in Fredericksburg, Va. After that, it is ODAC play the rest of the way. The women's soccer crew will travel down the road to square off against Randolph at 7 p.m. on October 14. To close out the regular season, Lynchburg will weclome Roanoke and Guilford, then travel to Bridgewater and Batten.
The ODAC postseason begins with the quarterfinal round on October 31 and concludes with the championship match on November 7. All ODAC playoff competitions will take place at the highest seed's home site. The NCAA postseason is set to begin on November 14.

Last season, the Hornets finished the year with double digit victories for the 29th consecutive season (excluding the shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Lynchburg concluded the year with a 10-6-3 overall record and a 5-4-1 record in conference play. Three student-athletes were tabbed to All-ODAC teams last year, and
Morgan Oliver landed on the USC All-Region team.
