FOREST, Va. – The University of Lynchburg women's soccer team was selected to finish fourth in the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference preseason poll, voted on by the league's coaches ahead of the season.

The Hornets received 105 points, while Washington & Lee led the voting with 144 points and 12 first-place votes. Batten placed second with 126 points and a first-place vote, and Bridgewater secured third with 119 points.

Last season, Lynchburg posted a 10-6-3 overall record for Dr. Todd Olsen's 31st winning season with the program. Three players secured All-ODAC honors, while Morgan Oliver earned Third Team All-Region honors with nine goals and eight assists.

The Hornets return their top four goal scorers from the 2025 campaign, along with ushering in 12 newcomers. To open the season, Lynchburg will face Hope and Maryville (Tenn.) at the Roanoke Invitational in Salem, Va on Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5.
