Four-time national qualifier Grant Amoateng joined the Lynchburg track & field coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the spring of 2020.

Amoateng finished one of the finest careers in Eastern Mennonite athletics history in 2019, reaching the NCAA Division III championship meet three times in the outdoor season and once in the indoor season. A star triple jumper, Amoateng finished in the top 15 in all four of his national appearances.

He won four Old Dominion Athletic Conference titles in the triple jump and was a seven-time All-South/Southeast Region performer.
