Michela Cholak joined the Lynchburg track & field and cross country coaching staff in the summer of 2020 after a banner four-year career for the Hornets in distance events.

The Ocean Township, N.J., native owns the Hornets' 3,000-meter Steeplechase record and was a part of the two quickest distance medley relays in program history. She also ranks fourth on Lynchburg's 6k cross country leaderboard and holds four more all-time top 10 marks in middle distance and distance track events.

She was a six-time USTFCCCA All-South/Southeast Region honoree -- thrice in cross country, twice in the DMR, and once in the Steeplechase -- and was voted indoor All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors in the DMR and middle distance events. Cholak totaled seven All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors in her career.

Cholak graduated from Lynchburg in 2020 with a degree in exercise physiology and is pursuing her master's in public health at the University.
