Eagles Contain Lynchburg Men's Tennis

BRIDGEWATER, VA – The Bridgewater College men's tennis team swept the Hornets 9-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets got a good first-set performance from captain Andrew Link, who won four games in the first set before ultimately falling to Christian Lynn at No. 3 singles.

The doubles team of Will Nsoesie and Adam Murphy showed continued growth early in the season by taking three games from a good Bridgewater No. 3 doubles team. They were the first career games captured by the doubles team of Nsoesie and Murphy.

"Even though we lost today, we are still growing as a team and as competitors," head coach Josef Manilla commented.

Lynchburg (0-3/0-2) travels to Randolph-Macon College (2-3/1-2) for another ODAC matchup Thursday at 2 p.m.
