Link Battles to Third Set as Hornets Face Guilford
LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore captain Andrew Link took the first set against Guilford College Saturday afternoon, battling to a third set in a 9-0 Guilford win in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
Link came out strong against Mesa Martorell at the No. 3 spot on the ladder, taking the first set 6-4 before Martorell battled back in the second set to come away with a 6-3 win. The duo went blow for blow with each other deep into the third set with the Quaker ultimately capturing a 10-8 win.
Jordan Falinski won three games at No. 4 singles while Adam Murphy captured three as well at the No. 6 spot.
Lynchburg (0-4/0-3) travels to Emory & Henry College Sunday for a 12:30 p.m. ODAC match.
