Falinski to the Brink as Hornets Fall to RMC
ASHLAND, VA – Jordan Falinski dropped a nail-biting second set, as the Lynchburg College men's tennis team fell to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Randolph-Macon College on Thursday 9-0.
Falinski, playing in the number four spot, fell in his first set 6-2 to his Yellow Jacket counterpart Ira Usry. The second set was a back and forth affair, reaching the tie-breaker after each won six games. However, Usry took the tie-breaker and the match.
Andrew Link, Falinski's doubles partner, took several games from John Adam before eventually falling to the Yellow Jacket (8-4 overall, 5-3 ODAC).
The Hornets (0-10, 0-8) conclude the regular season on Friday. LC will make the trek across town to take on Randolph College (3-4, 6-6) in ODAC contest that is set to begin at 3 p.m.
