Lynchburg Men's Tennis Challenges Randolph
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team challenged Randolph College Friday afternoon, fighting through several singles matchups and a doubles contest before falling 9-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
The doubles team of Andrew Link and Jordan Falinski played an impressive match at No. 2 doubles, competing against the tandem of JT von Seggern and Doug Corbett. Link and Falinski captured five games, putting the pressure on the WildCats in the process, before being outlasted 8-5.
Falinski battled Corbett hard in No. 4 singles as well, proving to be a tough left-handed matchup for Corbett. The WildCat adjusted well to the game of Falinski, but not before the freshman won five games.
Will Nsoesie, Adam Murphy and Link all won three games in their singles matches.
Lynchburg concludes the 2015 season on Sunday for a rescheduled match with Roanoke College. Play is set to start at 2:30 p.m. in Salem.
