Randolph Scores win over Hornet Men's Tennis
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's tennis team traveled across town Saturday afternoon to face Randolph College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action, with the Wildcats coming away with a 9-0 victory.
The Hornet #2 doubles team of Bryce Barber and Andrew Link nearly posted a victory, 9-7, and Jordan Falinski and Nick Savino won four games at #3.
Nearly all of the singles matches were close, with Josh Johnson winning five games at #1, Barber captured six at #2 and Dom Gutierrez fell 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) at #3. Link took five games at #4 and Savino lost just 7-5, 6-2 at #6.
The Hornets (4-13/2-7 ODAC) host Hampden-Sydney College Monday at 3:30 p.m. Lynchburg is still alive in the hunt for the final berth to the eight-team conference tournament.
